Since graduating from Harvard Business School, Mr. D’Hoostelaere has had over 40 years of experience in marketing, strategic planning and business development in diverse industries, including healthcare, telecommunications and consumer package goods.
For the past 25 years, Michael has provided consulting and business support to start-up and emerging growth companies in the areas of strategic planning, performance and process improvement, financial management, and business plan execution. He also assists with Board and Venture Capital presentations, provides clients with interim management and supports staff training, development and mentoring.
Michael is currently engaged in entrepreneurial coaching and mentoring with his own consulting firm. Michael is focusing his efforts on advising the owners small businesses and startups, applying the experience he gained while transitioning from Corporate America to an owner-operated business. Michael is also Vice President and co-owner of Aldea Montessori, a family run school which is currently in its 15th year of operations.
Michael had spent the past 6 years with the Small Business Development Center, working with entrepreneurs and franchisees in nearly every business segment. During those years he advised over 400 businesses ranging in size from startups to those with over $20 million in revenue. During his last year, he helped his clients, in aggregate, grow their revenue over $40 million and successfully fund $8 in operating capital.
